The most outrageous haircut I ever did was with a hedge clipper. I wanted to do a chainsaw but they wouldn’t let me… I got the hedge clipper and just chop chop chop! And just let it flow. And it just looked beautiful. Like an nice pretty artichoke.

All of Us is a portrait of the community of Kingston, upstate New York. Kingston is on the edge of the Hudson River, a town with a rich history that is changing demographically as people leave New York City. Commissioned for the town’s annual O+ Festival that facilitates healthcare for artists, All of Us a series of interactive portrait photographs in placed around the city that people can touch to hear the stories of local people.
Interacting with each portraits triggers a series of audio interviews with the subject- what makes the city feel like home, what their dreams and aspirations are, their experience of the past and present within their community and their thoughts on change and the future.
All of Us aims to present a canvas from which out of towners can gain a deeper understanding of a community, and the community itself a snapshot of its existence.

When I was in Mexico, I never thought I would move to America and become a standup comedian. I had a major in accounting but it never felt quite right. Then I told my husband we should sell everything we have and move to Kingston. He said, maybe in a couple of years. I said no - in a couple of months!

I thought that Judaism & Shamanism were two divergent paths, but I realised after talking to my rabbi that there is an enormous amount of similarity… Moses parts the Red Sea by raising his wooden staff, which is exactly what I carve. I call my staffs spiritual staffs.
